Are the ingredients for Vitamin C food form freeze dried?
The principle vitamin c comes from the acerola cherries which are freeze dried.
Exactly how much vitamin C is in each capsule?
As our Vitamin C is completely food form we cannot provide an exact amount of vitamin C per capsule. Each capsule contains 500mg of Acerola Cherry which contains a minimum of 25% vitamin C - giving you at least 125mg per capsule. Additional vitamin C is obtained from the other ingredients meaning a conservative estimate is likely to be around 150mg of vitamin C per capsule.
The number of milligrams you take daily of a certain vitamin or mineral is only part of the equation. The most important factor is how many milligrams your body actually assimilates and uses. Even healthy people will not be able to fully digest, assimilate and utilise most man-made vitamin and mineral pills.
This is where food form vitamins differ. This natural food state enables the body to utilise the herbal nutrients properly meaning the vitamin C is better used than in a synthetic supplement.
Are your probiotics suitable for vegans?
The probiotic supplements we supply are fermented from non dairy sources and are suitable for vegans.
Can I take probiotics with a hot drink?
It is generally not recommended to take probiotics with a hot drink. The reason is that heat can kill or damage the live bacteria in probiotics, reducing their effectiveness. Most probiotic strains are sensitive to temperature, and consuming them with a hot drink like tea or coffee might destroy a significant portion of the beneficial bacteria before they can reach your gut.
To preserve the efficacy of your probiotics, it's better to:
- Take them with water or a cold drink. Or,
- Wait for your hot drink to cool down to a lukewarm temperature if you prefer to take them together.
This way, you can ensure that the probiotics remain viable and can deliver their full health benefits.
Do your probiotic supplements contain lactic acid?
The probiotic supplements we supply do not inherently contain lactic acid, but many of the bacteria strains found in them are classified as lactic acid-producing bacteria (LAB). These include well-known strains such as Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium. When these beneficial bacteria reach your gut, they begin to ferment carbohydrates, primarily sugars, that are present in the digestive system. During this fermentation process, they produce lactic acid as a by-product.
The production of lactic acid plays a crucial role in maintaining a healthy gut environment. By increasing the acidity in the intestines, lactic acid helps inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria, creating a more favourable environment for beneficial microbes to thrive. This can contribute to improved digestion, enhanced immune function, and better overall gut health.
Importantly, while the probiotics themselves facilitate the production of lactic acid once they are active in the gut, the supplements do not contain lactic acid as an ingredient. Instead, the role of the probiotics is to support your gut’s natural ability to produce lactic acid and maintain a balanced microbiome.
To sum up, our probiotic supplements contain live bacteria that produce lactic acid during fermentation in the gut, but the supplements themselves do not contain lactic acid. This allows your body to benefit from the natural processes that these bacteria facilitate.
What type of Vitamin B12 do you use?
Our Vitamin B12 supplement uses Methylcobalamin. The most active form of vitamin B12, and the form found in foods, is hydroxocobalamin. However, hydroxocobalamin is completely unstable when put in a tablet or capsule, and can only be taken by injection.
Your Vitamin B12 seems to be high strength - is it not dangerous?
We take the safety of our customers very seriously and our products are formulated with this at the forefront. The level of Vitamin B12 in our supplement is 1000ug.
The upper safe level suggested by the EU Expert Group on Vitamins and Minerals is 2000ug. In their review on 'Tolerable Upper Intake Levels as derived by the Scientific Committee on Food (SCF) and the EFSA Panel on Dietetic Products, Nutrition and Allergies (NDA)' EFSA state that vitamin B12 has 'No clearly defined adverse effects'.
We are confident that these two scientific bodies have looked at the evidence and that our Vitamin B12 product is therefore within safe levels for human consumption if taken as advised on the label.
Why is your vitamin b12 supplement not recommended in pregnancy when b12 supplements are safe to take during pregnancy?
The reason for that caution is due to the strength of the supplement - it is a high strength B12 and although vitamin B12 is safe for pregnancy, as far as we are aware there is no research to support this high a serving being safe.
Many supplements are not extensively studied in pregnant and lactating populations due to ethical concerns about potential risks to the fetus or infant. In the absence of sufficient evidence regarding safety, we feel we should advise against use as a precautionary measure - even if the risk is minimal or theoretical.
Ultimately, dietary choices are personal and we provide guidance which fits the evidence we have available. Generally, we would advise anyone under medical supervision (including pregnancy) to consult with their doctor before taking any supplement.
Does vitamin B complex contain gluten?
Vitamin B complex does not contain gluten - it does contain maltodextrin that is derived from corn (non gmo) but this does not contain gluten.
Are any of your products Vegan friendly?

Usage & Effects
Will probiotics help with bloating?
Yes, probiotics can play a helpful role in reducing bloating, especially when the bloating is caused by imbalances in the digestive system or issues such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Probiotics work by introducing beneficial bacteria into the gut, which can support digestion and help prevent the accumulation of gas that leads to bloating.
The Benefits of Probiotics: What to Expect and Potential Short-Term Side Effects.
Probiotics have gained significant popularity as a natural way to support gut health and overall well-being. These live bacteria and yeasts, often referred to as "good bacteria," are essential for maintaining a balanced gut microbiome, which plays a crucial role in digestion, immunity, and even mood regulation.
Choosing the Right Probiotic:
Not all probiotics are the same. The best probiotic for you will depend on your specific health goals, such as improving digestion, boosting immunity, or enhancing mental clarity. Look for a high-quality product that contains a variety of strains known for supporting gut health, and consider one with a prebiotic component to help nourish the probiotic bacteria.
In summary, probiotics offer a wide range of health benefits, from improving digestion to supporting mental well-being. While some people may experience mild side effects when starting probiotics, these are usually short-lived and a sign that your gut is adjusting. If you're considering adding a probiotic to your routine, expect gradual improvements in your overall health as your microbiome begins to flourish.
How quickly will I see a benefit?
While some may notice a gentle lift in energy or mood within the first few weeks, our high-quality, science-backed formulas require consistent use for at least 6 to 12 weeks for the full, intended benefits on focus, cognitive ability, and overall wellness to become apparent. Patience, consistency and an overall healthy lifestyle are key to unlocking your full potential.
Will exceeding the recommended dose deliver faster results?
No, exceeding the recommended dose will not make the results appear faster, and it significantly increases the risk of side effects and potential harm.
We recommend that you strictly follow the dosage instructions on the label.
Results for improved focus and energy from quality health supplements are achieved by maintaining a steady, healthy level of nutrients in your body over a period of weeks to months.
